Changing Top Menu Bar To Custom Colors was created by scottshort
Just got this template which we are excited to use for our small business website. We need to change the top menu bar to custom colors to match our corporate logo but we see that there is only a drop down menu for these colors. We need "Ferrari like" red not the "wine-like" red that is on the drop down. We also would like to change the tab color on this menu if possible, but could live with the grey choice if all else fails.
We chose this template specifically because we thought we had the option of unlimited custom colors, and it is crucial for us to change this menu bar to our chosen color.
Isn't there a way to change these colors via the html code or css style sheets? If so, please provide me with instructions on how to do so. Please note that I am a "novice" working with web design and joomla with no prior html experience, so if you could provide complete instructions i would be grateful as I have been prone to mess up a template or two in my brief web design career!

Hi Scott,
You should open file "topmenu_bg_active_green.png" in Photoshop, Fireworks or any other photo editor and simply change the gradient colors. Then upload it using FTP.
If you don't know how to do it, please attach your logo here. Or at least give me hex values of color. I will change the file for you.
