Split Menu with Center Image

I am trying to create a split menu, ie: topmenua and topmenub with an image in the center between the two menus and I can not seem to get the topmenub align correctly and the only menu items that work are the very first item on topmenua and the very last item on topmenub.

Do you have any suggestions?

What do you refer by split menu, can you better describe what you want?

I have attached a picture of what I am looking for.

so I did split the top menu into two separate positions (a)&(b) and I can get the top menua to show up in the top menua position and top menub to show up in the top menub position but the only links that work are the very first and very last.

I am really not a programmer, just a little dangerous when using Firebug, so if there a fee to customize the template please let me know.
