You must create a new menu item for each of these pages and make sure the carousel and other modules are not published on these menu items (in module settings).
You can't put the link like "=article&id=78" because it doesn't contain the menu item id (it contains just article id). If there's no menu item id, Joomla will consider this as a home page menu item.
