Hi,
I'm working in order to have some menu in the block. I created a menu and I set in the Sparky Framework the Menus type "classic menu"
It seems like the menu style menu is the same as the top menu. I tried to change the style through the Sparky Framework but the menu looks like the same, as it doesn't receive the change (sse the screenshot)
I have also an issue when I would us the image as menu (insert the link image on link type in the Menu Edit Item) the system crash, with the message "see the attached screen shot)
Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong.
Thank you.

Hello,

Please try making a new menu and don't apply the style to it through the template parameters (set the first option to None). Then create a menu module and select this menu. Then insert a block of type Joomla Module to the page and select the menu module. You should get the menu links, but they will be unstyled. You can style them with some simple CSS, for example, to make them stack vertically, or change color, font, etc.

The styling for the menus under the Menus tab in template settings is related only to the menus that are included in the template layout (Layout tab).

Milos

Hi Milos,
Thank you for your replay. I've done as you suggested and i get the unstyled menu. Actually I'm not good with CSS, and I would get a drop down menu, do you have any example how to do that?
My best,
Nello

Hello,

You can't get the drop-down menu in the article content. As I said, you can get just a horizontal or vertical list of links without any dynamic features.

If you need to include a complex menu system in your article content, you must find an appropriate extension in Joomla Extensions Directory for this purpose.

Regards,
Milos
