INSTALLATION !

Please, I have tried for hours to upload as it is said in my joomla backend but it alsways tell me that I need a xml file. I am between anger and disappointment ... what should I do to solve it?

I suggest reading the Documentation file that's inside the template package. The file you downloaded, as its name says (hot_furniturestore_unzip_first.zip) should be unpacked (unzipped) first.

I did ! There are 4 files inside then. I uploaded the first zip. It works but then the second does not work ...

The second file (hot_furniturestore_hotstart.zip) should not be uploaded through Joomla anywhere. Like I said above, please read documentation or instructions here: demo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/furniture_st...icle&id=23&Itemid=63

so shall I upload the template in the joomla backend? THat is a total mess. I can already have access to myadministrator on joomla. Shall I do everything through the ftp? I have installed joomla1.5 in the ftp.

No. If you like, you can upload file hot_furniturestore.zip in Joomla template installer. This is explained here: demo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/furniture_st...icle&id=22&Itemid=62

BUT, in this case you won't get all Demo data (images, articles, menus etc.) that you have seen on the demo. VirtueMart won't be installed as well.
