Hi are there any other simpler menu styles? because the current type has a small usability problem.

When hovering over the main level the sub level menu shows.. if you want to click the far sub level menu by the time you move your mouse out the menu dissapears..

Is there any other way to have a simple menu drop down?

Thank you

This is the only menu system in this template. Make sure that you configured it properly (if you are not installed by HotStart). Do you see that problem on our demo?

Hi Milo and thank you for your reply.

This is a usability problem, many websites have this kind of menu but they dont realise it is a common problem.

Many people who are novice internet users will not know why they cannot get from A to B. I can show you example below in my screenshot.

If i want click on 'NFL' (sub menu) naturally i will move my mouse over to 'NFL' the green line will show you what one person would do naturally to go to the 'NFL' button. But you see the mouse trail goes over 'STYLES' and 'FEATURES' this then changes the submenu and the 'NFL' disappears, and instead showing either 'STYLES' or 'FEATURES' submenu.

Many users will have this problem and will not know how to go to 'NFL'.

Only expert users and those who are use to it will follow the red line. Red line is not natural for somebody to move mouse down and then right to the 'NFL' button.

Is there any way you can maybe change this menu? This is the only usability problem i know in the demo which is a problem.

Thanks, please see screenshot below.

I understand you very well, and I can claim that you're right.

But let's think about it logically. We can make Styles not to be activated when green line cursor is over the Styles. This will help users to browse Home Page's submenu easier. But, what if user needs to activate the Style's submenu? He will move cursor over Styles, and? Nothing happens.

Yes that is correct.

Yes you are right. This is exactly the problem with these kind of menu's i am trying to explain, so this is two problems now with these menus.

This is why this type of menu is not very good, i dont know why many people build websites based on these menus, not just you but many others do this, they dont think about users accessibility and usability issues which people can face.

Do you think you can maybe provide an alternative menu? You have a great website and i think it is very good, just menu is a problem.

Thank you.

By changing a piece of code in the template's index.php file, you can get classic drop-down menu, as on our other templates.
