Search not working in User4 position

I am having trouble with the search feature working in User4 position,If I change the position to any other location it seems to work just fine, any suggestions?

User4 in reserved for search module???

Yes and that is where I would like for it to be but when I select that location is will not work but while troubleshooting this issue I put it elsewhere and it did work. Do you have any useful suggestions as to why it will not work in User4 position?
