virtuemart 2.0.12 to 2.0.18a upgrading fatal error

Hi everyone, when I try to upgrade virtuemart from 2.0.12 to 2.0.18a I get the error failed copy "Copia fallida" in spanish and the most worrying thing is that virtuemart disapears form de components menu.
Anybody knows anything about this?

vm had nasty changes in that period making many thing star to behave bad. They recommended vm config reset by deleting record in #_virtuemart_configs then setting all config again.

Are you sure, if so I have to reconfigure all the virtuemart once, if success, upgrade it. I can not believe it....

OK, I've read it, so do exist any upgrade of the template? if not is your template what causes the error please I beg a solution.
