Problem with the children as variant of the parent

Hello,
after many trials with virtuemart , I realized that there is a problem with the template eCommerce in the management of product variants

The context:
1 . Parent product X
2 . Custom Field : variant child generic ( to choose the color )
3 . Child product Y
4 . The product X (the father) should not be purchased without first choose the color.

From the front end , so you can not add to cart Product X without first choose the color variant. Virtuemart alert with the message "Choose a product variant first" (COM_VIRTUEMART_ADDTOCART_CHOOSE_VARIANT) instead of the usual " Add to Cart" (COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_ADD_TO)

With the eCommerce template I noticed that is possible buy the father product ( there is always "Add to Cart " and not "Choose a product variant first") even when the variant is not select.

By activating the default template Beez_20 working properly.

Can you help me ?

Its strange it works with beez_20 because you need to select size to be able to buy product is that is set to work as child product.

If you use "Generic Child Variant" attribute is normal you have to select child product for "Add to cart" to appear

that's how it should work but instead "Add to cart" also appears for the parent product even though I set that is not salable.

I did not understand why it did not work, so I tried to activate the other template and that works.

If you try to see this link www.vapori.rcaweb.it/index.php/batterie-left/ego/twist-detail (this is the site I'm building), the product Twist has 6 children and the father should not be selezinabile. You will notice, however, that the "Add To Cart" link when you get the product and if you add to cart makes you buy it.

What happens when you rename:

templates\hot_ecommerce\html\com_virtuemart\productdetails\

to:

templates\hot_ecommerce\html\com_virtuemart\_productdetails\
