Point search to virtuemart product search

Currently the search engine of the template points to Joomla search. I would like to direct it to the virtuemart product search module instead. Is this possible?

Disable the standard search module, and put VM search module (probably mod_virtuemart_search) in its position.

Make sure that VM Search plugin is installed and published.

When I just turn on VM search and replace it in the same module location, the look and feel of the search box becomes that of virtuemart search box and it distorts the template.

I would like to retain the search box's look and feel to be the same look and feel.

Just do what I suggested. Do not change the module, just install VM search plugin and publish it. Then you will get search results from both Joomla and VM. You can find the plugin on www.virtuemart.net

But if you just install the plug-in the look and feel of the returned results are different. Go to fraternalart.com and search for "structure" in the joomla search (where you had it in the template) and then do the same in the virtuemart search on the left. You will see that the virtuemart results return a picture of the item and it is a cleaner results page.

How can I add the virturmart search module to display in user4?
