Error on uploading template was created by huggies
I have just uploaded the Hot Cars 25 template through the Joomla control panel and received a message that it "could not find the xml set up file. To clarify, I downloaded your PDF instructions, which by the way, were really easy to follow (thank you).
I completed emptied my root folder of the previous version of Jamoola and the unzipped your hot start file and followed the instructions to the letter, including checking file permission, ensuring that the template was compatible with the version of Jamoola installed etc.
I have also looked in the zipped folder, and can't find the xml file, although I accept that I could have missed it. My question is, can I continue without it (the template has installed), or can I download the appropriate set uf file?
Thanks in advance.

zip you revived contains package's zip files you can install, so you must unpack it first. We recommend hot_start installation. Copy all files from that zip to your web root, then browse base link to start installation. Remember to click on "Install Sample Data"

With respect, this is not very helpful. Please read my original post again, where I made it crystal clear that I have already done the things you suggest. Now my question again is, can you tell me how to resolve the problem of the missing file. I am currently sitting on my hands doing nothing with this site because I don't know if I can proceed. Great template, great installation instructions, but not great support!

I read your first post twice now and still don't understand? You would like to install template on your server with our demo data, right? In this case, upload entire archive hot_cars25_hotstart.zip and give me your cPanel access (use report to moderator).
XML error is possible only if you are trying to install template without demo data (standard installation). Usually, it happens when wrong file is uploaded. For standard installation, you should upload file hot_cars25.zip

I can confirm that I did install the demo data whilst uploading the version of Joomla from your Hot Start package. I promise you, I followed your instructions step by step, with the PDF open throughout to ensure that I got it right. I suspect this is just an anomoly, rather than 'user error'. I will send you CPanel access details shortly. Thank you.

Ok, but when (during installation or later) and where (on which page) you got this error "could not find the xml set up file"?
