I just downloaded the template for Joomla 2.5 with VirtueMart 2.0.2.

After the installation, the site's Main Menu is showing VirtueMart as an entry, and "Face", "Skin" etc. are 2nd level under VirtueMart. When I click on the Face link on top menu, the main menu on the left doesn't display the sub-categories like the demo site.

How can I fix it? Thanks.

Hi,

I think the issue is that VirtueMart is using its own template instead of the template provided by the hotjoomlatemplates team. The product categories pages are different from what's showing on your demo site.

Please see the highlighted areas for the differences.

Need help ASAP please! Thank you!!!

Hi Ivan,

Everything is out of the box from your downloaded template hotstart installation.

The show sub menu items is set to off.

The menu item type of Main Menu module is VirtueMart » VirtueMart Categories Layout for the parent, and the children such as Face and Lips are Menu Item Alias, which point to the Top Menu.

What are the additional configuration I need to perform after running the out of the box hot start installation as listed in the documentation?

Thanks.

Maybe you think it should update menu sub items automatically when you add parent category, you have to add menu items manually. Also there are some workarounds making this posibile but requiring code changes you can google them.

Hi Ivan,

I didn't make any changes after running the hotstart installation.

I installed it, viewed the site to compare to your demo. That's when I noticed the difference of the Main Menu, and the product pages.

I downloaded the 2.5 package to install on Hostgator.

Is the out of the box templates supposed to be different from your demo site?

Thanks.
