trouble adding users

Hey,

I've been trying to ad registered user to my site but everytime I do it they cannot login.
This is what comes up...

Error

You cannot access the private section of this site.

Categories, Articles and Menus have all been made accessable to the registered users. when I log in as the Super User it all works fine.

I done everything the same using another template and it works fine, any ideas??

Check which user group you set as default and check permissions for that group

the user group is set to registered and the permissions are all set to inherited,

I don't know what to do next...

Try to set actual permission setting value without using "inherited"

dont the permissions just have to do with editing and configuring the site not viewing pages?

I began building the site from scratch tonight (using Hot Flashes), first I set it up as using "blog (GB)" in the initial Joomla setup screen. that let me create a menu and article that are viewable only for registered users. the I created a registered user and it all worked fine.

Then i did it again using the Sample Data so that all the menus and slides are installed add the articles and menus and user all with Registered and I still get the same thing...

"Error

You cannot access the private section of this site."

Thought I'd it wrong again so I started from scratch again with the same results when I use Hot Flashes. Is there something I could be missing during the setup?
