As soon as I saw the Flashes template I knew it was the perfect one for my client but since I started trying to get it going I have been banging me head against the wall trying to get it running.

I haven't used Joomla for a while but I don't think I am so out of touch I am doing anything majorly stoopid!

On this page where it shows you how to set up the menu slideshow I am seeing a difference between what is on screen, and the process, than what is on my screen. I am running 2.5 by the way.

- The 'Menu Item Manager' screenshot shows a very different set-up than mine and I cannot seem to get it to even show on the homepage, never mind get it working correctly.

- Also, in the 'Flashes Menu Options' screenshot it shows the root menu for the images as modules/mod_hot...... but I can't see where to access that route through the editor, so I have made a new folder in the Media Manager simply called backgrounds.

A colleague is doing the technical side of things and I am the content manager and he has gone in and reinstalled the template and the module but also cannot see solutions for the two problems above.

Many thanks in advance for your help and apologies if it is a bit elemental.

When I have created the new menu and go back to the Menu Manager it doesn't look like the module is even linked to the menu item but I can't see where I can change that. If I click on that actual phrase it only gives me the option to start a new menu item, not to link it to the module.
Likewise if I go into the Module drop-down it doesn't give me the option to link the other way.

Help!!

So go to module manager, create casual menu module, set Menu Tag ID = flashes and , set module position user3 and set your menu to be displayed

Thnaks Ivan- I now have the menu showing and will try and sort the root issue for the images using OSE Fileman.

But now I am linking my articles to categories to menu items and there is no content showing. I click on the submenu and it doesn't go anywhere.
