Different Views for Different Browsers

I am using the new plugin called taptheme to display a dramatically different version of the template to different browsers. I have created a renamed version of the same template, uploaded it to the template directory to dynamically switch when a mobile browser is viewing the site; however if I have the main "Hotel" template set as default the width and background is displayed on mobile devises too. If I have any Bees template set at default then the width of the desired template will display but not for all versions of IE. So how do I stop the default version of the main template from being displayed when using the Hotel template when the plugin is trying to load the "mobile" version of the same template.

I really like the idea of using a plugin like taptheme as I can put modules in slides on a smaller screen and then on the left or right on a larger screen.

I am not sure what the problem is...

I took the template, added _mobile to the name, changed the language file to match and uploaded so that I can have two views. A desktop view and a mobile view. The mobile view is only 400px wide. I installed taptheme plugin and selected the browsers that should see the desktop view and the browsers that should see the mobile view. When I have the desktop view set as default the mobile view uses the width and background image of the desktop view. If I have Bees set as default both the desktop Hotel and mobile Hotel uses their own width and background, however setting Bees as default does not include all IE browsers.

What is it about the Hotel template that the current template being viewed is getting the width and background from the default Hotel template and not the current template.

Use "Duplicate" option from template manager to make clone of template for mobile devices.
It sounds by your posts that you made actual copy. Copy should also be ok , did you changed
...

in templateDetails.xml

do you have any understanding of why the mobile version keeps pulling the width and background image from the default version? This is really messing things up as the mobile phone shrink everything down too much and the text can not be read etc.
