HOTel Template don't change styles!! Please help!

I'm using Joomla 2.5.4 locally with Mac OS X. I want to use the preset styles variants of this template but I can not display the backgrounds and patterns associated with them. I can not even load the photo slideshow and background. The background is always white!!
Please give me some help.

You will then have to use firebug or chrome code inspector to inspect html elements and see what is happening to background image css property

I tried to use Firebug but I do not understand where is the error in the code . When I load any page for an instant slideshow image appears but disappears immediately! Of the preset styles do not appear on background images and patterns over the color. Only the menu text color changes correctly. There seems to be something that does not activate all modules properly. Please help me. Thanks
