No Background Images was created by joomlamike
I installed hotstart package with sample data.
Background images do not appear.
The top menu is invisible because there's no contrasting color ribbon. Thus, menu items are only visible on hover.
The main background images like the ship and lighthouse (bg1.jpg, bg2.jpg, etc) also do not appear.
As suggested in reply to a different posting, I replaced a line in the index.php file to the following:
$bodyBgImageFile = $this->params->get("bodyBgImageFile", "bg1.jpg");
This did not have any effect.
Help please.

I am working on localhost; the site is not yet posted to the web. I may be able to get it up today.
In the meantime, I updated PHP on localhost and reinstalled the template. The default background color (#15516b) is now visible (it used to be blank). But, selecting 'Use Image as a Background' and 'Select Background Image' still isn't doing anything. Is this a code fix to the index.php file?
On another matter, the template is not displaying properly in Firefox.
