syntax error, unexpected 'a' (T_STRING)

Hi Team,
I successfully installed and customized my template, but i can't access in the backend the SYSTEM  SETTINGS,
as a result, I can't adjust some settings on the template as well. I cant also update the Joomla updates.
I am getting .An error has occurred. a syntax error, unexpected 'a' (T_STRING)
Any help ?

Are you using Joomla 3 or Joomla 4? What's the PHP version on your server?

Ok. What's your PHP version? If you don't know that, please consult your hosting provider. For Joomla 4, it's recommended to use PHP 7.4 or 8.0 or 8.1 at this moment.

Can you access the Joomla backend at all or it's broken? Please send super user access so I can try this.
