HTML code disappears was created by mikegreece
Some times in my website, for no apparent reason, the HTML code disappears from custom HTML modules or article with HTML code inside.
For example the “Find us on Facebook” that I have in the bottom of my page ( www.home-biology.gr/ ) has disappeared several times. I notice it after a while and when I check the module from the module manager I see that the HTML code is no longer there. After I rewrite the HTML code the module works fine.
Why does this happen? What can i do?
This is a big problem for me, not because I lose the “Find us on Facebook” module, but because the same thing happens to an article that has the Ecwid (the e-commerce solution I use) HTML code inside. The code disappears for no reason and my e-shop is not working until I find out.
Thank you for your help and merry Christmas to everyone.

Please try this if you are using Joomla 1.6/1.7:

My joomla is Version 1.5.22.
I always select "No Editor" in the Global Configuration when I want to make changes to HTML but this happens sometimes anyway.
If I go to Content > Article Manager > Parameters (icon in top right corner) there is a “Filtering options” area that you can choose filter type: “Blacklist (Default)”, “Whitelist” or “No html”. Should I try to choose “No html” or is this something different?
Thank you

With no editor selected it should not happen in Joomla 1.5. However, if you at any point open this page/module while WYSIWYG editor is enabled, it would cut off the "dangerous" code.
