params.ini is not writable!

The parameter file / templates / hot_sportal / params.ini is not writable!

I have a problem, I can not change my template. I tried from cpanel and from filezilla to the file permissions params.ini 777. But alone changed again to 555. I have installed joomla in the root / public_html
Please help. I've paid my template

That is common problem. Use Joomla!Xplorer (free component you can download, just google that) to change chmod to 777. For some reason sometimes regular methods to do that fail and Joomla!Xplorer takes care of it for good.

Thanks for the reply, I installed joomlaXplorer and change the permissions to 777. But the problem is not solved, I still get the error "The parameter file / templates / hot_sportal / params.ini is not writable!" . That problem may be?

If it changes parameters correctly, then you may ignore this message. Make sure you select Custom style before changing parameters.

how do I select Custom Before Changing style parameters.

When you go to Template Manager-> <Your template>
you will see parameter named "Template Styles". Change it to "Custom"
