By default, it's transparent, as you can see on our demo server:

It is transparent when i click on my home button. But when i enter the site, it has a black background.
it is the same page, the only difference is in the url:
http://domain/index.php
shows transparent
http://domain
shows black background.

Hi there
We just have installed the module, and works fine. Thanks a lot.
The only "problem" we have is that we would like to take out the black box that appears in the top of the image (where the image description should go).
Is it possible to get it using the module configuration in the administration panel or shall we have to "touch" the css files??
We have tried to set all the options to "off" (buttons, text description...) but we still get the box.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks a lot

You can disable it by inserting this in css:
#slide-controls{
background:none!important;
}
#slide-controls{

}
