Images not showing

Hi, I have the same problem. Hot Image Slider is installed, Load JQueary enabled, path from FTP seems right (did it in the same way as always do with other components/modules that require a folder path and it always works). But still only a black square shows up

Attached is the module settings snapshots and a snapshot of the filezilla directory of the pages.
The folder path I used under basic options in the module settings is: images/stories/previous_newspapers/dec_2012/21_dec

Are these the correct snapshots you asked for?

None of my images are showing. All configurations are correct. The path to image is correct. When i type the image path in my browser, i see the image. I tried joomla default template but still same problem. Its a site that i am still developing and is on my local hard drive. Please assist. I am using joomla 2.5.8 and this is the only module that i have installed. All other modules are joomla default modules.
