I have solved this issue myself.

FYI - I added images and text one at a time and previewed the module after each addition. I had used quotation marks in the description of one of the images ("") ..... and that is what caused the whole module to stop functioning.

Very interesting lesson learned!

Ok , but did you try to set all "Link" fields to value of # ?

Don't use query string special characters like %20, that is handled by browsers.
