Error when installing - JFolder::create

When trying to install the HOT Image Slider, I get the following error:

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Warning! Failed to move file.

I have jQuery loaded, and have tried creating the directory independently. Any suggestions?

I guess you can't install any other module as well? Did you try? Go to Help > System Info > Directory Permissions and check if all directories are writable.

I'm an idiot. Thanks. I managed to have the tmp file unwriteable.
