Dear friend, hi!
I bought the gold package for to have the joomla 1.7 templates. Before, I had been bought the silver package and I haven't any problem to use in Joomla 1.6. Now, when I try to install the hotstart packages it opens the folders with 0700 pemission and not 0755, as should to be. Besides it doesn't get database connection. But the package from other company (Joomlart) are installed perfectly. I mean: there isn't any problem in my server neither in my database.
How can I solve that problem? What could be hapening? I need a urgent reply because I bought the package to my customers and I don't get to install any templates from your company.
Also, when I make changes in the admin (e.g. change background color) I've have the message that the change had been done successful, but nothing hapen when I back to website. I'm using Joomla Iphone tamplate. Can you help me, please?
Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Marcia Taruma

Could you simply CHMOD templates from 0700 to 0755 and try to re-install? You can use Report to Moderator button to send FTP so we can do that for you.

Make sure you selected Custom style if you want to edit colors.

Yes, all folders should be 755 and all files should be 644. I recommend you to use Filezilla for FTP. When doing CHMOD (select all files/folders > right click > File permissions), in Filezilla you can check option "Recurse into subdirectories".

"Apply to files only" when you do CHMOD 644 and "Apply to directories only" when you do CHMOD 755.

On some servers, when you upload ZIP and unarchive it directly on server permissions are changed to 700. I noticed that on some hosting providers with cPanel when doing unzip in File Manager.
