Hello Hot Themes development team. Lately on the web I have seen reference to the term 'Mobile First'. The concept seems to make sense for developers to start coding for the smaller resolution devices and let the design respond to larger screen sizes.

To me, the fact that the majority of internet browsing still takes place from desktop computers, may be keeping 'mobile first' development as lower on the priority list for most developers. My curiosity was peaked when I saw a video about optimizing code to keep http requests down to as few as possible. I suppose the fewer http requests the less bandwidth the mobile browsers will be using. Is that correct? (As we all know, the wireless companies love to charge for bandwidth).

I was curious to hear your views about a CMS like joomla and how mobile first development plays into the mix. Or does it?

Thank you.

Templates we published in past year and more are all responsive. As of less bandwidth that usually means you want to strip out mobile version and to load smaller images. Joomla itself does not have much on that subject. But templates them self can be equipped with such things. As for now our templates are responsive but we still don't have solution for image loading optimization
