Joomla can't be found-404 error was created by webmaster@cdwebmaker.com
I messed around deleting some of the demo menus, lost the top menu item for the home page, replaced it (or so I thought), now I get a 404 from both the address bar AND the Preview link in the Joomla backend.
site should be visible at cdwebmaker.com/joomla/ but is not. Even cdwebmaker.com/joomla/index.php doesn't work.
Can you help? Thanks in advance!

Perhaps you deleted content of the default menu item. The default menu item is the one marked with an asterisk. Also, menu where the default menu item is placed is marked with an asterisk.

Yes, that did it! After a couple of years working with Joomla, I had never had that happen to me.
Thank you for the prompt and helpful reply-even to a non-template issue!
