Check if you have this folder:
<template folder>/html/com_content/category
if yes rename it to _category
also if that does not help rename com_content also
otherwise it uses same engine as default template

Hi Ivan,
the folder "html / com_content" is not there. In the attached jpg you can see the folder structure in "/ html".
To remove any doubt, I made the following tests:
1. Installing Joomla 2.5.9 ( dowload from www.joomla.it/component/rokdownloads/451-joomla-2.html ) with sample data;
2. Viewing the blog ( www.test.rcaweb.it/index.php/notizie ) and is in 2 columns;
3. Installation and Activation template "software";
4. Viewing the blog ( www.test.rcaweb.it/index.php/notizie ) and is on 1 column.
I also tried to install the Sportal template, which I have used without problems for other sites, and it works correctly by viewing your blog in 2 columns.
The test site is www.test.rcaweb.it , you can see the result.
I think I've eliminated the possibility of any mistake on my part.
You can easily and quickly repeat the same steps and check too.
Ivan, what else can I do?
regards,
Andrea
