how to place a background image

Hello, I just got Hot Architecture template and it's great, but I wanted to place a background image (like a gradient) and I can't. Any suggestions?

Hello, I guess you'd like to change this pic /templates/hot_architecture/images/header_bg1.png with picture that you made yourself. Did you try simply to upload it (overwrite existing) with FTP software?

Hello. No, really, like a background image on the body background. I've searched all images, files and code, but couldn't find that option. The header image is only the gradient of the top pf the page. Already changed it, thank you:)

Top of the page, with text, font resizers and links doesn't have background assigned. This is solid color. However, this can be changed by editing CSS files.
