There's some problem with server. You can skip Install Sample Data button and then in hosting control panel find phpMyAdmin and import DB dump file in your Joomla database. DB dump file is in /installation/sql/mysql/sample_data.sql. If you don't know how to import it, please send file to your hosting provider and they will import it for you. After that, delete /installation folder and you are done!

Problem is old server version 4.0. Try to select compatibility mode 4.0 when uploading SQL dump in phpMyAdmin.
