My menu options are different that the ones shown was created by mitchel

The images of the menu options on this page do not match my Joomla 1.6 options:

For example...I do not have a dropdown that allows me to select Menu Style: LIST?

Yes , but you will find options with same name.
In joomla 1.6 you dont need to specify Menu Style Parameter (there is no legacy menu).
