Pre-Sales: Virtuemart/e-commerce for Boutique?

I found Boutique through BestOfJoomla.com which has Tagged this as "Online store/shop", but I have now found it is not a Virtuemart Template.
Is it possible/easy to add e-commerce to this Template?

Yes as in any joomla you can just add VirtueMart component.

May I just ask what the difference is if you have one of your VirtueMart Templates, as compared to adding Virtuemart myself to one of you non-Virtuemart Templates?

VirtueMart based templates are equipped with specific VirtueMart theme (beside Joomla template). If you buy regular template and install VirtueMart on it, you can use default VirtueMart theme.
