hot start wont install

for some reason the hot start wont install at all which is making my top menu not work properly and the configuration file wont stay writable...and the logo is not showing up...ive got the basics of the template going but none of the special features....which is what i bought it for...can u help?

Please follow instructions carefully, and tell me exactly at what point you got error, and what error? Make sure that you press "Install Sample Data" button during installation.

im redoing everything...its in the upload stage...i didnt know what else to do because i followed the instructions to a T so im just going through and making sure i done everything right

ive still not yet been able to get the rockin_hot_source.zip to install...could that have nething to do with it?
