checkout not working

when user click check out on my site it give the message

Could not connect to remote server

Check that the address is spelled correctly, or try searching for the site.

what is wrong with it

you use ssl (https...) and it appears your server is not handling port 443 , or it does not have binding associated with your site on 443 (HTTPS).

Check that - it appears you don't have HTTPS enabled at all, btw this is not question for this forum.
