Hot Effects Slider and Nivo? was created by matthewschenker
Hello,
I have been experimenting with the free Nivo Slider for a while now. I really like that slider a lot! When I saw the Hot Joomla Effects Slider, it looked to me like Nivo.
When I took a look at the code, I saw that in fact it is Nivo!
My main issue with Nivo is that the slides "flash" through a series of images when the page loads. This only happens in IE, but it's really annoying.
Have you solved this issue with your extension? If so, I would purchase it from you.
Generally, can you tell me what the difference is between the Hot Effects Slider and the original Nivo code?
Thanks,
Matthew

Hi Matthew,
jQuery part of this Joomla module (which is responsible for transition effects between images) is based on Nivo Slider script (Nivo is free software, licensed under Creative Commons License). We did some modifications inside the jQuery code. However, since this is the initial version, we are planning to do further modifications, bug fixes and new effects in the versions to come.
