HOT Effects Rotator background

I would like to tweak the Hot Effects Rotator.
I need to display images of various sizes. So I need to get rid of the ugly background frame (as seen - using Firefox - at: www.thelatentimagephotography.com.au/ )
Can I remove the drop shadow effect? BTW Safari doesn't show the border shadow effect.
As the images are of differing size it would be good if the photo transition could stop image behind showing whilst front image is displayed. I mean - only one image showing at any one time.
Can anyone help with this please?
