Hot Photogallery will not load pictures

I can't get the pictures to load on the joomla page, it puts up this message: "There are no images in this gallery." I have checked and re-checked the file path for the pictures to no avail. I do not have jquery utility installed. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

Check CHMOD maybe reading is not permited. Try to browse one of the images directly form address bar

I am having the same issue. My images appear when I navigate directly from the address bar but no dice on the article it's embedded into. See attached screenshot.

I've got "/images/screenshots/" listed in the directory field in the lightbox settings.

Also, it's made my sidebar custom HTML module disappear. Can someone help?

Nevermind me. This is the wrong thread. Having problems with lightbox and got too click happy. Please disregard.
