Uploading templates without reinstalling joomla was created by helen1
I purchased the membership so I could have a variety of templates to play around with but didn't realise until after purchase that I needed to install Joomla with the templates. So now I'm reinstalling doing HotStart - I understand why you've set it up that way but what if I want to change the template I'm using? Once I start using it it may not quite suit what I want. I can do a manual upload but are there instructions somewhere to make the module layout and extensions look exactly the same as they are in the demo data if I choose to change templates ?
Thanks
Thanks

You can buy membership. That would be it.

As stated in my first opening line - I purchased membership.
So I ftp'd across the hotstart version (choosing override) expecting to have to redo all my settings, but Joomla remembered them. I got a message saying congratulations a new version of Joomla has been installed but as I didn't get the option to click yes to sample data I'm back where I was before reinstalling.
Can someone please point me in the direction (if there is one) of instructions to make the templates look like the demo data? It will save me a heap of time, otherwise I'll just work it out for myself

So you install hot start, in zip package it is ...hot_start.zip. That is whole joomla you extract to your web root. You start then joomla installation and install sample data. In j3.x template you need to explicitly change sample set to one we named "SELECT THIS FOR HOT START!"
