Captcha prevents entries on Contact Us form

I'm using the Contacts Component on the Real Estate template. When clients enter their comments or try to contact someone, they are given an error saying that they've incorrectly entered the captcha information - it never accepts an entry. Why does this happen.

I think you just need to update joomla. Google changed some URL recently so all joomlas captcha failed. This is problem with joomla not with template.

I have the latest version of Joomla 2.5 installed. I have 2.5.11. Am I to understand that the captcha doesn't work unless I have Joomla 3.x (or 3.2) installed? Reason being, not all of my plugins on the site will work on Joomla 3.x. Please advise.

No, since google changed url both j2.5 and j3.x experienced problems. So fix is needed for both of them
