Linking images shown with Carousel to articles

I have seen that the order of the image shown in carousel pro window reflects the sorting of the image in the image folder (at the moment ordered by the image's name botttle01, bottle02 ... bottle10), so if I'll add bottle11 picture inside the folder, will be shown as last in the carousel.

The link between the image shown in Carousel Pro and the article, for what I've understood is done writing manually the name of the article and the ID inside the "Links for image" window in the "Image Mode Setting" function of the module maintenance (i.e. "index.php/red-wine/96-la-combe-des-fous"), and maintaining there the same order of the image in the folder above mentioned (see attached file)

Q1 --> is that right or is there a more functional and precise method for linking the image shown in the Carousel with the link inside the "Links for image" window in the "Image Mode Setting"?
... in other words, writing manually the link inside the "Links for images" window is the only way or are there other more direct and precise method?
(I'm worried about the confusion generated using that method with a lot of images presented)

Q2 --> is there a limit in the number of image presented by Carousel Pro?

It should be like that - name ordered , and links should respect that order

If you use folder with images there is no need for article or category ID

there is no limit in images number
