Problem with images

When using strictly images (no articles or content categories) the module width is unable to be changed within the module settings. Is there a way to fix this?

If you use responsive mode it will stretch images? otherwise you can fix image sizes

I know I can fix images sizes. I'm saying the module width is unable to be changed, making me have to have my pictures much large than I'd like because if I set it to show 3 images per slide it it stretches the images to fill all the space that makes up the module width.
