Hot Joomla Carousel PRO deprecated error

In the process of migrating from Joomla 3.x to Joomla 4.x using MigrateMe4. I am currently working in the MM subfolder with Joomla 4. I had the free Hot Joomla Carousel working fine (images), but there were some other options I wanted, so upgraded to PRO. 

I'm getting an area to display the images with arrows, but instead of the images (yes folder is set) I'm getting a list of deprecated errors (see image) something to the effect of. . . "undefined array key . . . explode. . . passing null. . . type string deprecated. . . etc."

I thought perhaps the former version was causing the issue, so I uninstalled it. Still have the same error. I'm not sure what's wrong since the former version worked great.

Please download the file "mod_hot_joomla_carousel_pro.zip" from our website and install it on your Joomla 4 website. Your module settings won't be changed.

This is the latest version of our module v4.0.1 and it should work fine on Joomla 4 websites. If you still have problems, please let me know your PHP version.

Re-downloaded and installed. Didn't fix it. 

I decided to use a different slider. Thanks.
