Hot Film keeps shrinking height

Hi, I am using the Restaurant template and are finding that the preinstalled Hot Film Tape (which seems different than the one downloadable from extensions) keeps shrinking its height back to what appears to be the default 320 even though I set it much higher and it says its higher in admin???

Effectively I'm getting a chopped window. - sometimes it works but not very often?

Any idea what could be wrong. I have tried to find info in these support talks but there are so many and cant seem to find a search function
