Joomla carousel

how can I install the carousel in joomla?
When I try to install from inside joomla it gives me ERROR.

How can I install exatly the demo page and change all parts starting from it?

Make sure folders write permissions. It should be one of following chmod 777,757,755. joomlaexplorer is good component you can use to check and change that.

To have site exactly like on our demo site, you need to use hot_start installation . It's included in zip package you received. You just copy everything from hot_start folder to your site and you run indexphp from your browser. Make sure you install sample data during wizard.

can you describe step-by-step what did you do until now so we could see where are you making mistake?

Sure.

1st I installed joomla uploading the joomla folder as usual

2nd I uploaded in the root directory the "hot_restaurant_j15_unzip_first" folder with his own folder inside.

3rd I set joomla as usual because when I try to follow the string you wrote in the manual I obtain two answere: "Unknow page" or "Forbidden"

4rd I retry to install the folder without the joomla 1.5 files (only your folders and checking the following string: www.scottadei.com/hot_restaurant_j15_unz...art/joomla/index.php (without /joomla/ too) I find this answere: Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /hot_restaurant_j15_unzip_first/hot_restaurant_hotstart/index.php on this server.

The same happend if I bring out on the root all the folders included in the hot_restaurant_j15_unzip_first folder but doing: www.scottadei.com/hot_restaurant_hotstart/joomla/index.php the result don't change.

5th if I install joomla and after I charge the template items I obtain the page that you seen in attachment before.

Hi,

delete(clear) all files form you root hosting folder. Unpack hot_restaurant_hotstart.zip somewhere on your local machine . Then copy all unpacked files and directories to your hosting root folder.
After that you can start installation from wizard from:
www.scottadei.com/index.php
