Positions LEFT and INSET disappear

After hot start installation, when I create new categories and subcategories, disappears LEFT and INSET positions.

What can I do?

While testing I found that the positions left and inset disappear only when
I use the "Category Menu for VirtueMart Module" in left position (mod_jv_virtuemart_accordion)

I am very interested this module to not create new items in Top Menu every time I create a new category or subcategory in Virtuemart.

This module must have Itemid value in the links it produces. Otherwise, Joomla don't know what modules to show and what modules not to show. Please consult the module's developers about it.
