Installation

Hello
I have created a new folder and uploaded all the files and folders from 'hot_furniturestore_hotstart'. However when I go to the address ( www.ozcomputing.co.uk/olliebobs2012/index.php ) a standard Joomla front page is displayed and no option for installation?

Are you sure you created "olliebobs2012" in web root folder? web root folder is not always root folder you get from ftp client. Commonly it's named public_html but that is not always the case .

Hi, yes it definitely created in public_html folder.
I had a clean up of my hosting space and deleted lots of unused files. I have 2 basic html sites and one other Joomla installation running fine in separate folders.
I followed the instructions through again, I now get the following message when I go to the web page ( ozcomputing.co.uk/olliebobs2012/index.php ):

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@ozcomputing.co.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I have now managed to install successfully. As I am using cPanel, I followed the instructions: HotStart Installation on cPanel Hosting and it worked this way.
