Installation issue - XML error

Hi all, when I get to the 'Main Configuration" page of the installation process, and click on the 'Install Sample Data' button, I get the following error:

Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid.

I've redone the installation twice with the same issue. Another Joomla installation ran in this webspace previously without issue. I've removed everything from the webroot to make sure there is nothing left over from the previous install.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Did you do that previous installations that went well on same hosting server? I ask this because that looks like some hosting related problem

Anyway you can send as access info using "Report To Moderator" so we could see that.

This is not an ISP hosted server - it is our own. And yes the previous installation worked fine. Can you clarify what access info you need?

mm, I will need info to enter on "Database" installation screen. Also submit templateDetails.xml file form template and at end try installation replacing /installation/ folder with one in this post attachment.
