White page after update to Joomla 2.5.5

I recently installed Hot_furniturestore. Great.
Today I updated to Joomla 2.5.5 without any error message. Joomla Backend still is present an databases shows that the installation is on 2.5.5.

But the front pages are empty and all white.

No errors are reported in the error logs, it seams that no file was updated.

The realy bad new is that we made a backup of the wrong database. As far as I could read nothing happened to the database tables ... but somewhere there must be the information that the database is on 2.5.5

Does anybody have an advice?

Check all menu items with menu type "menu item alias". Unpublish them all one by one. One of them probably makes the problem. When you find it, just re-create it. Perhaps this is the bug in the latest Joomla 2.5.5.
