Switching from Furniture Store to earlier template

Now I installed the Furniture Store and everything went fine. If I choose the categorie and the product, there is the Furniture Store template. Then when I choose "detail" it switches to the template I had before.
The template before I´m still using for my homepage because I don´t want to create the homepage new. So Furniture Store should only be used in my VirtueMart store.

Can you give me a hint how to eliminate the switch to the old template?

Easiest is just to remove old template , probably you have template menu assignment set old template to be used on that page. Also maybe you intentionally set old template for home page , and that produces that because you don't have product details page in menu so you could control template assignment.

Sorry that I´m asking again because I´m not sure if I understood your answer.

If you klick categories in VirtueMart, you will see the template Furniture Store. If you klick products then, you have Furniture Store too. But if you klick on details, you have the template I´m using for my homepage.

So is it right that it is impossible to run the old template on my homepage and Furniture Store on my VirtueMart shop?

I wanna avoid to create my homepage again with Furniture Store.
Is there no way to run the old template on my homepage and Furniture Store for VirtueMart?

Try to reference only one product from menu then assign right template to it. Menu item type is "VirtueMart Product Details Layout". You don't have to create menu module. I dough it will work but give it an try. Other option is to have all products in menu but that is probably unacceptable.

Now I created a category and a product.
When I start the shop from my homepage, the shop opens with the right template. The product opens with the right template too. But the product details open with the template of my homepage.
In Joomla I assigned the hot furniture template to the shop. But I can´t find the "VirtueMart Product Details Layout". Please can you give me a hint where I can find it. I searched without a result.
