First of all, let me thank you for the precious support and advice that you provide to us. And,there is a solution for every problem with you. Hat's off.
I have uploaded Joomla furniture_store to the domain redbeeskindergarten.com using FTP successfully. From Godaddy's cpanel,File Manager, I can locate the path where the files are found. I have saved them in a new folder name furniturestore. But, from Joomla admin, I cannot find the folder furniturestore which I want to set as default.

If you mean media folder, changing that may break your image links and you can not set it to site root folder it is limited to /media

default setting is 'images' witch corresponds to /media/images/
